Somewhere along the way, manifestation became rather serious.

Visualise correctly. Be specific. Feel it as though it’s already happened. Believe 100%. Hold the vision. Stay in the vibration.

And whatever you do, apparently don’t doubt!

That’s quite a lot of pressure for something that’s supposed to be about creating a life you’d love.

The Wright Way Method takes a slightly different approach.

When I create, I don’t want to sit for twenty minutes desperately trying to convince myself that something has already happened.

I want to ask what I know, send it out, and get on with my day, doubting as much I like.

Which brings me to one of my favourite ways to do that.

The Batman Light

Yes. Batman.

There is actually a reason for the name.

It came about because, at the time, my husband’s name was Bruce Wayne.
You really couldn’t make this stuff up.

So the Batman Light became my way of visualising what happens when I put a creation out into the world.

Think of the Batman signal.

Commissioner Gordon doesn’t quietly whisper that Batman might perhaps like to pop around if he happens to be available.

He switches on an enormous light and sends the signal into the sky.

Everyone can see it.
That’s how I like to imagine a creation.

1.

Ask What You Know

Put what you would like to create into your Batman Light.

You don’t need to know every detail. You only know what you know. So start there.

2.

Don’t Linger

Send it out and let it go.

About 20 seconds is plenty. You don’t need to keep visualising it, holding it or trying to make yourself believe harder.

3.

Add the Tagline

Finish your creation with:

“If I’ve left anything out that is for my highest and best, please add it.”

That’s it. Go make a cup of coffee.

You Don’t Have to Believe 100%

This is another part I love. You don’t have to emerge from the Batman Light with unwavering certainty that your creation is hurtling towards you.

You might send it out beautifully…
…and five minutes later think:

Well, that’s never going to happen.

Fine. A doubtful thought doesn’t cancel your order.
You don’t need to start again.
You don’t need to repair your vibration.
You don’t need to police every thought that follows.

The signal has already gone out.

Then Comes Confirmation

If I want confirmation, I’ll ask for it. My usual request is:

“Please give me three or more clear confirmations within the next 24 hours that this creation is moving forward and is for my highest and best.”

And then I pay attention.
Not obsessively.
I’m not hunting for signs under every rock.
I simply stay open.
A conversation. A name. A place. Something someone says on the radio. An unexpected opportunity. A coincidence that makes me stop for a second. Confirmation isn’t the manifestation itself. It’s simply a little:

Yep. Keep going. I’m on my way.

And Then… POP

This is where manifestation becomes participatory.

Something POPs.

An idea.
A person.
A phone call.
An invitation.
A shop.
An email.
A sudden urge to go somewhere or do something.
Something catches your attention.

POP. Pay attention.

Because this may be where your part begins.

Active Faith

Active Faith doesn’t mean sitting at home trusting that the Universe will deliver everything to your front door.

It means responding when something POPs.

Make the call.
Send the email.
Accept the invitation.
Ask the question.
Walk into the shop.
Follow the sensible nudge.

You don’t necessarily know where it’s going.
That’s the point.

You ask.
You notice.
You respond.

That’s Active Faith.

And Then Receive

This sounds obvious, but it’s amazing how easily we miss this part.

Sometimes what we’ve asked for arrives…
just not in the packaging we expected.

We become so attached to how something is supposed to happen that we don’t recognise it when it turns up another way.Receiving means leaving some room for surprise.

Be clear about what matters. Stay open to what arrives.

And when it does?

Receive it. Say yes. Enjoy it. Celebrate it. Say thank you.

and create a life that feels more aligned, lighter and more you.

You’ve probably tried it all.

You’ve visualised, written the affirmations, tried gratitude, vision boards, raising your vibration, acting as if, thinking positively and believing 100%.

And still nothing.

Or perhaps some things seem to manifest beautifully, while the thing you really want remains stubbornly out of reach.

So a rather uncomfortable question begins to creep in:

Why doesn’t manifestation work for me?

Maybe You’ve Been Trying Too Hard.

Manifestation has somehow accumulated an extraordinary number of rules. No wonder it can begin to feel like another full-time job.

What If Creating Isn’t Where We Need To Begin?

Most manifestation practices begin with:
“What do you want?”

The Wright Way Method asks another question first:
“What Might you already by carrying?”

Because you can consciously want one thing while old programmes, emotions, inherited patterns or outside influences are pulling in another direction.

The Wright Way Method Looks at Manifestation a Little Differently.

Instead of immediately asking you to focus harder on what you want, we begin with Clear, Release and Create.

Three simple stages that help you clear what may be in the way, release what no longer belongs and then create from a place of more space, ease and alignment.

01

CLEAR

REMOVE WHAT NO LONGER BELONGS.

We begin by clearing the old beliefs, programmes and stories that may be quietly running in the background. These can influence what we expect, allow, choose and create.

CLEAR OLD PROGRAMMES

Become aware of the beliefs, programmes and stories that may no longer serve you – and gently clear them.

TEACH ME DOWNLOADS

Introduce a new understanding. Integrate what you would like to know instead.

EMOTIONAL CLEARING

Allow the body to finish what it started by gently clearing emotions that may still be held in the body and cells.

02

RELEASE

NOT EVERYTHING YOU’RE CARRYING BELONGS TO YOU.

Sometimes what affects us doesn’t begin with us. We may be carrying influences from other people, inherited patterns and genetic history, old connections or energies that we’ve picked up along the way. Release is about identifying those outside influences and gently letting go of what is no longer yours to carry.

INHERITED PATTERNS

Explore what may have travelled through your family or genetic history – and release what doesn’t need to continue with you.

EXTERNAL INFLUENCES

Clear influences, attachments or energies that may have come from outside of you.

FORGIVENESS & CONNECTIONS

Release old energetic ties and connections without needing to excuse, justify or relive what happened.

03

CREATE

CREATE LIKE YOU WERE MEANT TO

You only know what you know, so start there. Have fun with what you’d love to create – and leave a little room for life to surprise you.

ASK

Ask for what you know and leave room to be suprised.

CONFIRMATION

Notice and trust the signs & feelings.

ACTIVE FAITH

Wait for the POP and then ACT.

RECEIVE

Be open to how it arrives.

CARRY THIS WITH YOU

You don’t have to know every detail.
Be clear about what matters.
Stay open to how it arrives.
And leave a little room for something you hadn’t thought to ask for.

THE PRESSURE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT

One of the most common pieces of manifestation advice is to be specific. Know exactly what you want. Write down every detail. Picture it clearly. Decide how it should look, when it should arrive and perhaps even how it should happen.

And there is some truth in clarity. It can be incredibly helpful to know what matters to you. But I think there is an important difference between being clear and being controlling. Because sometimes we become so focused on the exact picture in our heads that we leave very little room for anything else.

Including something better.

CLARITY DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN EVERY DETAIL

Imagine deciding you want a particular car. You choose the make. The model. The colour. The year. You picture yourself driving it. You imagine it parked outside your home. Perhaps you’ve even saved photographs of it. There’s nothing wrong with that. But underneath all those details, there may be something else you’re actually asking for.

Perhaps you want reliability. Freedom. Comfort. Safety. Enough space for your family. Or simply the feeling of finally owning a car you love. Those things may matter far more than the exact badge on the bonnet. So instead of asking only, “What exactly do I want?”,  I like to also ask, “What is it about this that matters to me?.” That’s a very different kind of clarity.

I once had a very specific picture in my mind – a white SUV. That was what I was creating.

The car that came into my life wasn’t the exact car I’d pictured. It was better.

Had I decided that only the original picture counted, I could easily have looked at what arrived and thought, “That’s not what I asked for.”

But the important parts of what I wanted were there. And more.

It made me realise how easily we can confuse the picture we’ve created with the outcome we’re actually asking for. Sometimes we know exactly what we want, and sometimes we only know what we think it needs to look loke. Those aren’t necessarily the same thing.

SPECIFICITY CAN BECOME A SET OF RULES

There is another problem with believing we must know exactly what we want before we can manifest. What if you don’t? Perhaps you know you want your life to change, but you aren’t sure what the next chapter looks like. Maybe you want a relationship, but you don’t have a twenty-point list describing the person. Maybe you want different work, but you don’t yet know the job title. Maybe you simply know: I don’t want to feel like this anymore. Does that mean you can’t begin until you’ve worked everything out?

I don’t believe so. Sometimes knowing what you want more of is enough.

  • More freedom.

  • More ease.

  • More connection.

  • More purpose.

  • More time.

  • More financial security.

  • More joy.

You don’t necessarily need to know the exact form it will take.

LEAVE SPACE FOR THE “OR BETTER”

This is something I now love about creating.

I can be clear about what I’d like…

without deciding that I know every possible way it could arrive.

There’s a quiet difference between:

It has to be this.

and:

This is what I’d love. I’m open to this — or something better.

The first holds tightly.

The second still has direction, but it leaves the door open.

And sometimes life walks through that door carrying something you hadn’t even thought to ask for.

WHAT IF YOU DON’T KNOW YET?

Perhaps you know you want your life to change, but you aren’t sure what the next chapter looks like. Maybe you simply know, “I don’t want to feel like this anymore.” That’s enough to begin. You might start with:

  • I’d like greater clarity about what I want next.

  • I’m open to discovering what would feel right for me.

  • Show me what’s possible.

You aren’t behind. You aren’t doing manifestation incorrectly. Sometimes clarity comes through the journey, not before it.

For me, this is the part worth remembering. Know what matters to you. Know what you would love to experience. Be willing to name what you want when you know it. And then leave enough space for life to surprise you. Because the outcome you can imagine today is limited by what you already know. What might be possible for you isn’t necessarily limited in the same way.

Be clear about what matters.

Stay open to what arrives.

CARRY THIS WITH YOU

You don’t have to know every detail.
Be clear about what matters.
Stay open to how it arrives.

If you’ve explored manifestation for any length of time, you’ve probably heard this one too: You have to believe. Not just hope. Not just be open to the possibility. You have to really believe that what you want is already yours. And if it hasn’t arrived?

Well, perhaps you didn’t believe enough. I’ve always found that idea a little uncomfortable. Because what happens when you want something you’ve never experienced before? How are you supposed to genuinely believe, with absolute certainty, in something your mind has no evidence for yet? And perhaps more importantly…

Is 100% belief really necessary?

I don’t believe it is.

Wright Way Reminders_belief

BELIEF ISN’T AN ON-OFF SWITCH

You can believe something is posible and still have doubts. You can feel excited and then wonder if it will ever happen. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re human.

What Happens When You Try to Force Belief?

You can believe something is posible and still have doubts. You can feel excited and then wonder if it will ever happen. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re human.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO PRETEND

Repeating affirmations can be helpful, but if something inside you doesn’t feel true, forcing belief can create more resistance. It’s not about pretending – it’s about finding a starting point that feels honest.

Your Mind Loves What It Already Knows

If you’ve experienced something repeatedly, your mind has plenty of evidence for it. When you try to create something different, an old voice may appear. It isn’t necessarily predicting your future – it may simply be repeating your past. Awareness gives you space to choose what’s next.

WHAT IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE YET?

Then don’t force yourself to. Start somewhere that feels true:

  • “I don’t have to know yet”.

  • “Maybe things could turn out differently this time”.

  • “I don’t know how this will happen, but I’m open to being surprised”.

These may not sound as powerful as absolute certainty – but you can actually feel them. And from there, something new has room to develop.

BELIEF CAN FOLLOW EXPERIENCE

We often assume belief has to come first. But many times, something happens that you didn’t really believe would happen – and then your belief changes.

You experience something new, your mind gains new evidence, and what once seemed unlikely becomes possible.

Perhaps belief grows because life has shown us something different.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE DOUBTS

Doubt doesn’t mean stop. It doesn’t nean you’ve ruined your manifestation. Notice the doubt, the story underneath it, and ask yourself: is there a slightly more open possibility available to me? You don’t have to leap from “never” to “absolute certainty”. There are plenty of places in between.

YOU DON’T NEED 100% BELIEF TO BEGIN

Manifestation isn’t about becoming perfectly certain. It’s about becoming more conscious of what you’re carrying, what you’re repeating and what you’re choosing. You can create while you’re still learning, still questioning, and still having doubts. Sometimes all you need is enough openness to allow something different to become possible.

CARRY THIS WITH YOU

You don’t need absolute belief.
Sometimes being open to possibility is enough.

WE’VE BEEN TOLD TO BE POSITIVE.

If you’ve spent any time exploring manifestation, you’ve probably heard some version of this advice:

  • Think positive.

  • Raise your vibration.

  • Focus only on what you want.

  • Don’t entertain negative thoughts.

And if a worried, angry or doubtful thought slips through? Quick. Replace it with a positive one.

It sounds simple enough. The problem is that we’re human. We have difficult days. We get frustrated. We worry. We feel disappointed, overwhelmed, angry and sometimes downright fed up.

So where does that leave manifestation? Does one bad morning cancel everything you’ve been creating? Does feeling anxious mean you’re attracting more anxiety? And do you really need to monitor every thought in your head in case the Universe is taking notes?

I don’t believe you do.

THE PRESSURE TO BE POSITIVE.

One of the biggest problems I have with the idea of constant positive thinking is that it can turn manifestation into another thing we have to get right.

Instead of helping us feel more empowered, we start policing ourselves.

And suddenly, on top of whatever we were already feeling, we’ve added fear and guilt because we think we’re manifesting incorrectly.

That isn’t freedom. And it certainly isn’t what I believe conscious creation is meant to feel like.

Thoughts come and Go - The Wright Way

A NEGATIVE THOUGHT IS NOT A MANIFESTATION EMERGENCY

Thoughts come and go all day long. Some are helpful. Some are fearful. Some are ridiculous. Some are simply old habits our minds have repeated so many times that they appear automatically.

You do not need to panic every time one of them isn’t positive.

The more useful question is: What is this thought showing me? Perhaps there’s fear underneath it.

Perhaps an old belief has been triggered. Perhaps you’re carrying an emotion that needs to be acknowledged rather than covered with a positive statement. That changes the conversation completely.

Instead of: How quickly can I get rid of this negative thought? we can begin asking: What is happening within me right now?

There is a very big difference between the two.

POSITIVE THINKING AND SUPPRESSION ARE NOT THE SAME THING

There is nothing wrong with positive thinking. I love feeling hopeful. I love gratitude. I love those moments when life feels exciting and possibility seems to be everywhere.

But genuine positivity and forced positivity are not the same thing.

If you’re hurting and immediately tell yourself, I’m fine. Everything is wonderful, the original feeling hasn’t necessarily disappeared. You may simply have put something prettier on top of it.

This is one of the places where I believe traditional manifestation advice can become confusing. We’re encouraged to change the thought without always asking what may be sitting underneath it. And sometimes, what is underneath is the part that actually needs our attention.

Progress over Power

YOU DON’T HAVE TO JUMP FROM FEAR TO JOY

Imagine you’re feeling completely overwhelmed. Trying to leap immediately from:

I don’t know how I’m going to cope with this. to: Everything is amazing and my life is wonderful! can feel almost impossible. Your mind knows you don’t believe it. Your body knows you don’t feel it.

So instead of aiming for joy, what if you simply looked for relief? Maybe relief sounds like:

  • I don’t have to solve everything today.

  • Perhaps there is another possibility I haven’t considered yet.

  • Right now, I’m okay.

It doesn’t sound particularly dramatic. But it feels believable. And that matters.

In The Wright Way Method, I see relief as an important tipping point. You don’t have to race to the top of an emotional ladder. Sometimes the next gentler thought is enough.

PRESENCE BEFORE POSITIVITY

This is why one of the ideas at the heart of my work is:

The Universe isn’t asking you to be positive. It’s inviting you to be present.

Present enough to notice what you’re feeling.

Present enough to recognise an old story when it appears.

Present enough to acknowledge fear without allowing it to run the entire show.

And present enough to choose something different when you’re ready.

There is far more freedom in that than spending your day trying to maintain a perfectly positive emotional state.

SO, YOU CAN MANIFEST WHEN YOU’RE FEELING NEGATIVE?

Yes.

You are allowed to have emotions.

You are allowed to have doubts.

You are allowed to wake up in a terrible mood without believing you’ve just ordered twelve months of terrible experiences from the Universe.

What matters more, in my view, is becoming aware of what you are carrying and learning how to work with it rather than automatically pushing it away.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do isn’t to hold on.

It’s to gently let go.

It doesn’t sound particularly dramatic. But it feels believable. And that matters.

In The Wright Way Method, I see relief as an important tipping point. You don’t have to race to the top of an emotional ladder. Sometimes the next gentler thought is enough.

Remember …

You don’t need to feel positive every moment to create something beautiful.

Notice what is there.
Allow yourself to be human.
Then look for the next thought that brings a little more relief.

Clear. Release. Create.

CARRY THIS WITH YOU

You don’t have to force positivity.
Be present with what’s true and reach for relief.

Clear. Release. Create.
